Catch Up Funding

In June 2020 the government announced £1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up on missed learning caused by coronavirus (COVID19). This is especially important for the most vulnerable pupils and pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds who we know have been most affected.
The plan below outlines the strategies St Uny CE Academy has set out in order to maximise the impact of the school's allocated funding.
The impact of the school's use of catch up funding will be assessed in a number of ways:
  • Pupil progress as a result of the additional staffing and targeted interventions in place (in conjunction with the school's recovery curriculum).
  • Pupil progress in identified year groups as a result of the additional staffing and targeted support.
  • Pupil well-being and SEMH development as a result of more 'Trauma Informed Schools' support.
  • Pupil well-being and engagement as a result of the set up of the school's 'Forest School' area and subsequent staff training.
