Our Eco Committee meets to discuss important issues in our academy and the local area. Pupils from Year 3 - Year 5 are represented, with the children looking for ways to help the local environment and reduce the school's carbon footprint. 

Meeting 1 - 24.09.26

The Eco Committe met and have set out their first actions for the year:

• Litter picking in the local park. 
• Litter picking at Carbis Bay Beach. 
• Visit to Steeple Woods to look at how much litter there is. 
• Sourcing more bins for the school's outdoor areas. 
• A 'no litter' poster competition. 
• Light monitors in each class. 

We have also booked a special workshop with our catering company Aspens, all about food waste and sustainability - we can't wait for this!
