Our School Council meets to discuss important issues in our academy. All years from Nursery Year 6 are represented, with the children looking for ways to improve our academy even further and provide a voice for all pupils.

The newly elected School Council met to discuss this year's priororities for the year ahead.

The team discussed this year's focus charity. Suggestions included the RSPCA and continuing with the RNLI but voted on Cancer Research UK as this year's focus charity. The team started to talk about fundraising ideas, which included:

• Cake sale. 
• Mini Marathon event. 
• Art competition and sales. 
• Active challenges. 
• A stall at the Christmas raffle event. 

Each councillor was set the challenge of asking classmates to share their suggestions via the suggestions box in the hall, ready for our next meeting.
